+### Problematic code:

+### Correct code:
+

+[[ -e ~/.bashrc -a ( -x /bin/dash -o -x /bin/ash ) ]]
+```
+
+### Rationale:
+
+You don't have to -- and can't -- escape `(` or `)` inside a `[[ .. ]]` expression like you do in `[ .. ]`. Just remove the escaping.
+
