+### Correct code:
+
+    {

+      cat stuff
+    } >> file
+
+### Rationale:
+
+Rather than adding `>> something` after every single line, you can simply group the relevant commands and redirect the group.
+
+### Contraindications
+
+This is mainly a stylistic issue, and can freely be ignored.
